YIPS - Youth Involvement Program

YIPS - Youth Involvement Program

Being part of YMCC is a great experience, however the club just does not exist by players coming along to games; so many things go on behind the scenes to get our teams on the field each week.  The Youth Involvement Program is designed to expose our young players to some of these things, provide them the opportunity to learn, take part in new activities and give back to our great Club.

The program recognises the extra activities our young players from year 7 to 12 do around the club, points are awarded for activities undertaken and at the end of the season rewards are given for those who gain enough points.

Our club is also blessed to have some great role models, we are extra pleased to have Jamie Dwyer and JDH, supporting us with this opportunity for young players.

Points are awarded over 3 categories:

  • Competition

  • Coaching/umpiring

  • Club activities

There are 3 achievement levels for players to aspire to, usually 1 per season, with a suitable reward at the end of the season

  • 150 points for Bronze

  • 300 points for Silver

  • 450 points for Gold

Further details will be given to the players at the beginning of the season.
