Minkey Program
YMCC's Minkey program is a skills based program run on a Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:15 and is aimed at Kindy and Pre-Primary children.
Our Minkey program incorporates Hookin2 Hockey components with the focus on basic skills, small games, fun and safety. This program is run by parent volunteers and, where able, the club arranges for players from the senior teams to assist with the sessions.
The program easily accomodates children joining later or missing occasional weeks. As the season and skills progress, sessions tend to finish with informal games played among the participants.
Season 2026
Sessions will commence on Saturday 9th May and continue until Saturday 22nd August, with a break over the June Long Weekend and School Holidays.
Equipment and Uniforms
Children should have a stick, shin pads and a mouth guard. No specific uniform is required. There is no mid-week training, it is only a Saturday morning activity.
Registration
Children need to be registered with the club. Click on the Register button on the Home page and follow the prompts.
